My uneducated opinion is not to expect a decrease in blood pressure as long as your taking a
Tricyclic antidepressant.
Try stopping your Imipramine. Bet ya a nickel your pressure goes down. When did it start to increase?

Hi Jake
What has formed your "uneducated opinion" about hypertension and TCA's?
I am not aware of any issues with BP and TCA's, unless the patient is also taking Clonidine (not clonezepam or Klonopin)

I know that it coincided with starting Imipramine, but looking at drug interactions between that and the antidepressants I already take, elevated BP is a common side effect. I really hope that I'll be able to keep the Imipramine because it's the first thing that has relieved my pain. Higher BP isn't listed as a side effect of just Imipramine itself.
