I am amazed that kitty guardians have not discovered litter pads that lie right outside the litter pans so the kitty walks on the pad which catches and removes any litter caught on their feet. It works very well at keeping litter off their feet.

@profnorma, I want to Welcome you to Mayo Connect. I am not a cat owner (although both of my sons each has 2 cat buddies) and I did not grow up around cats or even dogs. So, it must not be surprising that I have never heard of the litter pads. I have never observed any scattered cat litter when I visit my boys, but I am going to mention this anyway. I will probably get one of those eye rolls that they have mastered so well!
Do you have pets? I want to invite you to look at 2 discussion s that are all about furry friends and their unique role in patient comfort and even healing. Please accept my invitation to join the conversations. I know that pets and pet lovers will be eager to meet you!
