amitriptyline is an antidepressant, right? Interesting
Falconfly I looked that up and was surprised to know that amitriptyline was an antidepressant but I use it for IBS
Well, I definitely know that I have the "d" problem when I get bad news, or someone is coming to visit or a million other things that really upset me or make me nervous so maybe that makes sense!
Also relieves neuropathic pain, but caused me to sleep for 12+ hoursevery night, which is the only time I'll take it.
falconfly if stress, certain company or bad news causes my IBS-D than I would be on the pot all day. Good luck

falconfly I was told to have a fiber drink in the morning and evenings Metamucil and I had yogurt as well in the evenings as well as medication amitriptoline once before bed and dicyclomine an hour before eating these combinations have worked so far no diarrhea. Talk to your doctor about the meds the others are over the counter,
