@jlind

Thank you for the information. I'm new to the site, but am seeking information on ET treatments. I've had a mild condition of ET in my right hand for about 25 years. Now it's in both hands. I am having some difficulty writing checks, but otherwise function pretty well. I'm lucky compared to many who have had severe ET. I tried Propranolol many years ago, but did not like the side affects. I'm retired now so I might check into the other medications you have tried.

Hi, @jlind, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I can imagine that would be challenging to have difficulty with your right hand for over 20 years, and now in both hands, affecting your writing.

Since the medication you tried for your ET (I'm assuming here you are meaning essential tremor) years ago had side effects you did not like, what does your doctor suggest trying instead?

@jlind- I have very similiar ET issues as you and for as long and my writing seems to be the only thing that has suffered greatly.
I've looked into several treatments and all were using another drug and decided against that for me.
Recently I met someone who told me that they have a family member who has ET that is a bit more severe than what I described I was dealing with and they said that Acupuncture was helping them quite a bit. I'm looking into that for me just to see if it will make a difference.
Jim @thankful

Husband is trying Cereset? Any info on that ?
