Not restricted from spices per se. Just no onions or garlic right now. I always check the FODMAP list or email my nutritionist if in doubt. I use salt, pepper, can use garlic infused olive oil but no garlic. I use cinnamon and vanilla extract. Nutritionist does not want me eating a lot of potatoes right now either. Take longer to digest. I am allowed to have a few spoonfuls of rice and a few bites of potato here and there. Just not regularly I have tried reintroducing lentils and can eat them in small amounts if properly cooked. I have no problem consuming meats, eggs, etc. Everybody is different.

Everybody is different, that's for sure! Have you been tested for fructose malabsorption? If you have it, garlic anything wouldn't be good, nor would lentils.

I noticed in one of your posts you take L-glutamine. I also take that regularly, twice a day. Bulksupplements.com or nutriabio.com are good places to get it at a reasonable price. I get the L-alanine from Bulksupplements as well.

@kay 57. I did a little research over the holidays and fresh cilantro, basil and bay leaf should have no sugars. Cloves has about the same is cinnamon, so should be ok. I have yet to try these.
