Hello @johnnyboysmom, welcome to Connect. Am I understanding correctly that your son's main issue right now is his hamstring? They said he has tendonitis in his hamstring? I've had tendonitis in my elbow in the past from overdoing it while weight-training. Time was really the only healer and then easing back in to the workouts. Hamstrings, from my own knowledge as a non-medical professional, are a much easier muscle to repeatedly injure if they are not allowed to heal. Has his medical provider ever mentioned that he possibly tore his hamstring muscle?

Thank you for your comment. Yes, he has taken time off multiple times in the past year. When he returns to running, he’s fine for about a week then the pain starts creeping back in. He has no pain with cross training like aqua-jogging, biking, or lifting. Just when he starts running. He had an MRI and it didn’t show a tear. He is able to walk, but does have pain also in about the center of his butt cheek when he walks and sits. He has also had a gait analysis to see how his form is. His foot does cross over but he has improved on that.
