Going upstairs after total hip replacement

When I had my hip replacement last year I recuperated for a couple of weeks bye sleeping in our front room in a proper bed which allowed me access to the downstairs loo. This time I'm if it's possible I prefer to sleep in my own bedroom upstairs where there is a telly and a loo and just go downstairs a couple of times a day to eat what do people think about as a plan the only reservation reservation is my bed is quite high and difficult to climb onto I would welcome your thoughts
