I am suffering so much. Orthro
dr. Says nothing to do with knees. How can that be. Came on 3-4 months after first knee. Seemed to go away with PT ONLY TO COME BACK IN VENGEANCE after second knee 10 months later. I am 4 plus years into this and it is terrible. Had3 surgeries on inner ankle to release nerve but NOTHING has changed. I need HELP.
I am 2 yrs. 1 month. My TKR kept telling me it’s normal. Well it wasn’t. My primary found popliteal artery was pinched shut by doing an ABI test that showed low pressure in my leg and angiogram showed totally blocked artery. I also had nerve tests which showed nerve damage but they blamed it in my age and spine. I still have some foot issues. Numb tingling foot that feels cold but it isn’t. At least my foot is “warm” pink and no purple toes. The artery surgeon said since I went 60 days with no blood flow to my leg/foot there could be permanent damage to my foot or could take years to heal that nerve. TKR doc just said why did you wait so long to get it fixed you could have lost your leg. I will never forget those words and thank my primary every day. Good luck! You have to be an advocate for yourself.
