@gingerw I worry a lot about all of the people out of work due to this pandemic. Our family is very fortunate to all be working but I know it is hitting my son and son-in-law's businesses. My son-in-law owns his business and my son is a partner in his. Still, they are at least working.
@merpreb That's one of the things I miss most in the summer when the windows are open, the sounds from outside. When we used to spend a lot of time at the lake I loved waking to the sound of the water lapping the shore but that ended when I lost a lot of my hearing.
@lioness I think my husband and I are taking enough precautions that we will not be hit in this first wave of the virus. At one point I heard it predicted that there will be three waves, so we will see what the future brings.
@funcountess I saw the article about the delivery person who spit on his hands and then wiped it on the package. The person had a ring camera and caught it on that. When they went to get the package they noticed it was wet and thought that perhaps a dog had urinated on it. The article said that the person had been fired and may be getting charged with a crime. Hopefully he will be.

@gingerw- I live in a coastal town and my house abuts what was once a beautiful forest. There are a lot of bare spots where trees are down from all the winds that we have been getting. But I am grateful for those still standing, and for the quiet at night if the windows are open and the bird songs.
