Hello all. Yup, been missing in action here at connect. Trying to catch up is futile.
I am grateful for the pain specialist I have been seeing for nearly 5 years. I had a Rhizotomy on the cervial 1 week ago tomorrow. Starting to feel some relief. So thankful.
I had the procedure done under a local rather than being sedated. I will admit it was uncomfortable. I focused on what the doctor and staff were saying and marveled at the team work and learning even more. I even enjoyed the music that was playing. Things I am familiar with and still listen too!!! The doctor has good taste in music...grin.
A positive experience. Helps to trust the doctor.

So pleased that your Rhizotomy is providing you with some relief and that you can trust the doctor and his staff. They must be good folks!

@parus. That’s great that the Rhizotomy went well. I was not familiar with term that so I googled it. It says the full effects can take a couple of weeks to be felt so I hope you feel better every day.

@hopeful33250 I found the article to have a very soothing effect, and even though she was addressing MCI much of it can be applicable to other conditions. We all have our struggles and sometimes need to be reminded to enjoy each day that is gifted to us. This last really hit home this morning. My husband just got a call from a close friend that a friend of his whom we know just dropped dead at 66! The friend and the man who died take long walks every Monday and the man’s health was apparently good. His wife heard a loud crash and went upstairs and found her husband dead.
