The Harvard Study According to Leonard.
The cotton candy experiment is amazing. Scientists can create new blood vessels by spinning strands of cotton candy together with a polymer. It doesn’t say you can EAT IT! lol
They also say that a modest consumption of candy (1 to 3 candies a month) is associated with greater health benefits. Note the word “modest” .
Sugar CAN help with willpower...where did you go wrong? Candy, especially the dark kind, CAN make you live longer because it reduces stress and it DOES make you happy.
However, too much sugar can age you faster, cause weight gain, blood sugar problems, increase the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease. It’s unhealthy if you are getting 10% or more of your daily calories from sugar. You would need a perfect diet to balance out the bad effects.
You know all this so I suggest you give all your candy to a candy policeman who will dole out a few bars a month or maybe an extra one if you are in a stressful situation. Apparently your sweet brain has completely taken over the prefrontal cortex of your brain.
We like you Leonard and want you around for a long time. I would gladly volunteer to be the candy police if you were my neighbor.
I know you would love me as your neighbor.
