Cookies aside, was wondering if the fires are anywhere near you guys and anyone else on this forum that lives in California? Do you have any friends or family that are affected?

If you ever had to evacuate (god forbid), would you only take mom and the cookies/candies? I bet you have an emergency bag.

Florida is getting some fall like weather tomorrow so I am grateful for that. However they say the humidity is coming back next week. A most unusual season. And they say climate change is a fraud...ha!

I have sweaters and boots to wear for crying out loud......and sheets to cover the plants in the event of a frost.

My friends say the humidity aggregates their joints ...does anyone find that true?

@imallears The fires are not all that close to me closest is about 70 miles When I
lived back in Pa yes the weather change always affected my bones, arthritis here it hardly gets higher then 30% usually in single numbers thanks for asking but I'm fine

@imallears Although I no longer live in California, the wildfires are something I pay attention to. I have family/friends/former co-workers in the line of fire, so to speak. There is one that broke out last night that is affecting where I used to live. We went through the Thomas Fire two years ago in that same area. For that one I had to pack to evacuate in middle of the night, no power except for for camping light. Slept fully clothed with shoes on for three days. Truly an incident to bring on a PTSD flare.

I know I replied to this but maybe I didnt click reply???
The nearest fire is in the Sonoma Valley Wine Country 145 miles northwest of me.
These fires are horrible, in 2018 the worst fire in Calif history burned 18,804 structures and 85 people died.Imagine losing your home, job and town which happened when the town of Paradise was destroyed.
