I understand. As a teen, my family and I visited friends in Manchester. I just love that area (that is where we had the incident on Mt. Washington which was scary).

I live in SE Michigan (north of Detroit) so the change in scenery with mountains and a short drive to the ocean is just wonderful

I have friends who moved from a house (over 4,000 sq feet) to a detached condo and they talked with the builder (it was new construction) and they arranged for the condo to have the right wall space for some of their more important pieces of furniture (library, etc.) It is really beautiful. I hope you have the same success.

@hopeful33250 Thanks Teresa. Do you know which town they moved to? We are in Bedford now, and this is where my husband prefers to stay, but I don't feel that attached to Bedford, I have no idea why he does. We like the towns that are closer to the coast too, like Stratham, but I would need to check health clubs close to them before considering them. I would actually not mind moving to one of the northern suburbs of MA but then we would have to pay MA income tax. NH has no income tax.

@lioness Buses are almost non-existent up here. There are some in the city, Manchester, but getting around the suburbs is not doable.
