I am grateful for technology in many ways. Recently in the area where I live a 12 year old girl committed suicide due to social media bullying. I thought to myself how sad such a young child was so viciously attacked by bullies on a public site that she would end her own life all because of cruel comments and jokes. Doubtful the ones being cruel feel anything other than pride because of the weakness of another. It gives them a sense of control. They do not care how they harm another.
I am grateful for this site and the safety here. Grateful my 12 year old grand daughter is safe. Sad for the parents of the 12 year old daughter that took her life because of bullying on social media.
We have much to be grateful for and ought not to abuse the privileges we do have.
