@Contantandwell I live in Long Beech n a senior building we can go to roof as it has 2grills,furniture like a sitting area and tables During the fires I could see o e of the hills on fire. In 1964 I worked at Kaiser Permanente in Van Nuys for a year before returning to Pa.

@lioness Oh, so you are fairly close to Hermosa Beach. My son lived two blocks from the beach so when we visited we always walked the strand. One thing for sure, you don't choose to live that close to the beach unless you are in fairly good shape and look great. I recall one of the Olympic volleyball players lived right on the strand. I think they do miss the beach but Denver is certainly an easier place to own a home, and much less congested.

So, what did you think of Kaiser? My nieces best friend was a doctor there. My niece asked her what she thought of Kaiser. She said “it’s a great place as long as you don’t get sick.
