My husband, Eldon, is 62 yrs old. Diabetic
Health issues in order according to Doctors (Kalispell MT).
1) Appendix, 2) Prostate, 3) Left Shoulder, 4) 2 tiny (dormant) nodules in lings) suggested to watch; CT lungs in 6-8 months.
PSA 5.1, Gleason score, 3 + 4 = 7, no lumps or thickness on physical exam. CT scan to see if cancer was only in the prostate, Bone Scan to see if cancer was in the bones;
Ct scan shows Prostate cancer is only in prostate, no metastasis, no lymph nodes noted on the CT scan around the prostate. The CT scan noted the enlarge appendix, “strongly suspicious for a cancerous growth”, only in area of the appendix, no metastasis, no lymph nodes around appendix, appendix is now up moved by the Liver. There is an odd formation of cells in the upper left shoulder bone going into his socket. This might be a cartilage issue or a rare cancer.
Tuesday,11-6-2018 seeing radiologist for a consult for the Prostate cancer - deciding what course to take, (know that we need to wait 6 weeks from the Biopsy to treat Prostate); Wednesday, 11-7-2018, seeing Oncology specialist surgeon for Appendix, all the Doctors want to treat/surgery on Appendix first; 11-13-2018, seeing Orthopedic about left shoulder. We feel like we are kind of in a maze at the moment, don't want to make hasty decisions too fast. My mother was a nurse and I have worked as a nurse aide, I am comfortable with the medical staff. I want to find the best treatment for my husband. We do have a son that lives in Peoria, AZ near a Mayo clinic in AZ.
