@lioness I agree with @parrotqueen, this is going to be much longer than many people realize. They are nowhere close to having a vaccine, they are saying it will be one to two years at the earliest, and they may never have one. In this case, it will be similar to AIDS, no vaccine but things that can help to make it less threatening. Of course the difference is that this is so contagious, whereas AIDS is only contagious with body fluids. I know someone who had COVID recently who was wearing a mask and gloves, they figure it must have gotten in through her eyes.
I want so much to be able to see my son and daughter, and my son is trying to figure out how we can do that this summer, keeping us safe, but I think I am going to have to tell him to not come. If he came and I or my husband caught something he would never forgive himself. 😥

JK: I am so sorry you cannot visit with your son and daughter right now. This is brutal for families. My best friend just became a grandmother and she has to take a test every time she is with the baby. She has become a hermit to avoid getting COVID 19. And you are so right about the comparison to AIDS. I wish there were something easier we could avoid to not get COVID 19. I was in the drug store earlier this week and the man ahead of me in line started coughing so hard. I got the heck out of there. I have to pick up a prescription on Friday and again on Sunday - I wish they would just give me everything at one time. I really don't want to get this virus. I've been on a ventilator before and it was no day at the beach- I never want to be on one again if I can help it. I just keep taking vitamin D3 and K2 - D3 has saved me from other corona viruses in the past - although there is NO guarantee it will work with this one. And although nobody has spoken about Vitamin K2 and (and just plain K) for COVID 19, I know the K vitamins work on coagulation - and coagulation is a problem with COVID 19. Don't take what I say as medical advice - I'm just giving anecdotal advice that has worked for me in the past. We all just need to be very careful, wear our masks, and wash out hands often. I'm praying for all of us.

@contentandwell, @lioness, @parrotqueen, First of all I'm sorry parrotqueen that you lost your parrot. I had to give up my dog because I couldn't take care of her anymore. But she's at where we use to board her and they love her and she's doing great!! I don't think you know me, but I'm having pre-op tests on Monday at Mayo and surgery on the 9th and 11th.
Anyway, we all talk about the Covid-19 virus and I know it's bad, but there are more people that die from the flu then the virus. We just have to take care and not let it get to us. Wear mask, use santizier (SP), wash your hands etc. I hear it over and over. I guess I use my faith and don't worry about it. But, I can understand why people do, because it's all over the news and everywhere.
