Sorry your your in so much distress Most GI Doctor do an incredible job but ours is a disease of exclusion and there isn't a whole lot of time in an appointment to get things done. I appreciate you sharing the information from the http://www.ibsfree.net/news information. It speaks of the Fodmap eating plan and how it can help IBS symptoms. As a follower of this eating plan, I've found that it does help.

As you mentioned Dr. Jay Pasricha, I found this YouTube video which was very helpful in understanding the brain/gut connection. Here is the link to that video.
