stomach ulcers and constipation

hi--i am 70 and just became chronically constipated and my doctor is sure i also have an ulcer--i am scheduled for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy soon--does constipation and stomach ulcer often go together??

Dear team, I have been constipation and ulcers for over a month. My stool are always in black colour. And sometimes it appears my legs are weak. Most times chest pain. Please help

If your stools are black, you probably have blood in your stool so you need to see a doctor. If you are taking peptobismal for stomach pain, that can also cause black stools.

I agree with jane. See your doctor. Have them check your hemoglobin level. Black stools are an indication that you are losing blood which may explain the weakness you are feeling in your legs
