@norah Hi Norah! Welcome to our group. I am so glad that you found us. I see that Heather has given you a suggestion already on how to take your meds. I have had many patients state that taking the rifampin on an empty stomach helped a great deal. I suppose it could be morning or night. Some people take it first thing in the morning before eating, then wait an hour before eating. Everyone seems to try different schedules until they figure out what is best for them. I have a tip for you to better access info on this site. If you scholl to the top of this page, you will see a little magnifying glass icon. Click on that and then enter a word or two on something you would like to know about. i.e. type in 'rifampin' and all posts where they talk about that subject should pop up.
