@mattie I read this three times before I decided to jump in. Jim is correct you have to protect yourself. Let APS know you need a safety visit. After you protect yourself ( can you put a lock on your door inside) You have the right to declare your position to be able to live in your home without fear of aggression. And you can rent her space out if you have to evict her. You are not the beggar. The thought she doesn't have the upper hand may change her attitude. You may have to deal with the possibility that she is unable to cooperate. Again APS is your best friend.
It's not the first time a younger person loses their ability to function. An emergency pendant would be great protection in case of an emergency. And just squeezing it will get an immediate response. I don't know how sophisticated they are now but I'm thinking seriously of getting one because no-one could hear me in here and my dog doesn't have opposable thumbs. You will survive be strong.
