I had 81 permanent seed implants. They were good for 6 months of radioactivity and then I was told, they were inactive and just stay in my body. They do not dissolve. After an MRI 2 weeks ago, it looks like part of my prostate is not there such as in part of it has dissolved. I don't know if that is from the seeds or the radiation but probably a combination of both. The seeds that were in that part are still there just floating in my abdominal cavity and was told that some may have just passed out in urine. I have been really happy that they killed the cancer with a PSA of .1 or less for the past 13 years. Any other questions, let me know. Richard

Did you consider protron therapy? If so why did you choose implants
