TKR at 7 weeks with flex at 95 and extension at -8?

This doesn't sound good to me but my doctor is not alarmed. Anybody have a similar result that kept improving over time? I have heard some say that there is only a 6 week window.

I had my TKR in May and you are about where I was at that point. It takes longer than 6 weeks to get a good range of motion and be prepared for good days and bad days. I was at a 128 bend and -3 extension at 11 weeks. The doctor was happy with the progress and said I would continue to gain range of motion. I did aqua therapy as well as land therapy and found that to be very helpful. I think you are doing great! Recovery from a TKR is a full time job and you have to do your exercises on the days you don't have PT. I am still in PT and have just gone from 3 days a week to 2 days.

Thanks for the reply. What you said sounds very encouraging. I hope mine does the same...I was at 101 and -3 yesterday but that is after she works on it for about 50 minutes.

Sounds like you are doing great! The PT can always a better bend and flex on my knee as well.

My tkr was two weeks ago. I can get to 90 but I am concerned that isn't enough. I have the impression my PT expects more. Just makes me resent going even more.
