Autism: You can't cure or change it — it's physiological
i need help to argue the case of not curing us and was just accused of being able bodied because i support that you cant cure or change the brain physiology and the electrical and neural pathways and biochemistry .why should we people have countered by saying using of gold in a crisp gene cutting process to reduce stimming behavior and the paper itself said no cure .now they have come back with using HIV and also neuroplasticity and neurogenesis as a cure all .can people help me to argue i follow and support the work or eric cochesne at uni versity of California and his wife he is an autism neurobiologist and professor of autism

If you would like to try a lsupport group you can look under NAMI (Natl Assoc of Mental Illness) in your area for groups. An off shoot to also consider is DBSA (Depression BiPolar Support Association). You don't have to have bipolar to be a part of this. Many of the attendees have anxiety/depression etc.
Thank yoy,@calypso, for your thoughts, for posting here, and for recommending groups! What a dear you are! I am fairly new to this, and I appreciate all the help I can get! I do connect with those who are familiar with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, suicidal ideation, chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, IBS, Diverticulitis,RLS, Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Allergies Asthma, and Thyroid Disease. Is it any wonder that new doctors look at me and wonder how I am even alive?!! Ha! Yet, with all of these things and more cropping up from time to time, I consider myself to be in the healthiest state I have been in a very, very long time. I am grateful and blessed. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for helping. As Mr. Rogers always said, "Look for the helpers." By your step of reaching out here, at just this time, you have made a difference in an untold number of lives. Not everyone posts on here, but many, many read. Until next time,
Mamacita
Absolutely! My go to for sure. Love and peace, my wonderful Autie,
Mamacita
@mamacita I just love to hear a Mr. Rogers' quote! Thanks for that. He was one of the wisest of all TV personalities.

We are all so diverse - Love Lifes Diversity!!!
So true!
Hi, @thinktherapy - we are indeed all so diverse.
Do you or someone you care about have an autism diagnosis?
physiologically impossible to cure us because that would require total rewiring of our neural circuits and biochemistry and hoemonal flooding .the only way to do it is miraculous killing us keeping us alive brain surgery and then makingus live again .the last time I looked not a chance in hades of it
I am not an ablest and I support dr Eric cochene from the perspective of his medical research and genetic research in explaining how autism arises and occurs not from the perspective of autism speaks .I vehemently disagree with autism speaks we as autistic cannot be cured one would have to kill us shut us down remove most of our brain then we may be cured we will be vegetables but cured .physiologically we cant be cured cant change the way genes have been laid down and the way the neural pathways and synapses the extreme activity of our suybapses .the changes in brain biochemistry and hormonal floodingcant be cured. Mamacita I aint for cure I for understanding and learnings about how we are .in order to explain and teach to auties how to stand up for themselves and tell t as it is
