Thanks, @harper7745 It looks as if a call to my least favorite doctor is in order. I am still not sure what the effects are of discontinuing it suddenly though.

I stopped it suddenly and didn't notice anything. I was on 40 mg once a day. I started prilosec 20 mg once a day.
