That’s about the same as a central line and it is very uncomfortable, however it your neck shouldn’t hurt that long...hard to say he may have nicked a nerve

Hello ca426. Thanks for your reply. I agree. My neck is still hurting today. I think a nerve was injured. I wonder why they don't go thru a vein in the groin? I think it might be due to the longer amount of time a patient has to be in recovery afterward. If they use the neck, especially without sedation, the patient literally walks out after the test. This way they can test twice as many patients or more in the same amount of time.
That miight not be a good reason though.
