I have been on a strict kidney diet for over a year and I never cheat. My nephrologist just had me have extensive blood work and I have improved from a Stage 3 to a Stage 2 CKF. I have been so careful that my potassium is now too low, so he has instructed me to eat more potassium rich foods. A proper diet can help and it is easy after you have adjusted to it.

I'm so glad to hear such great news that you went from Stage 3 to Stage 2! I haven't heard about eating more potassium but that is something I'll try to learn more about. Blessings to you!
