Stage 3 Kidney Disease and Diet: What can I eat?

@ausie I learned the cause of my kidney damage from the Renal Department tests once I was referred for a kidney transplant. It was among the tests they ran. Whether you were tested for this or what the cause of your kidney disease is would be a question for your medical group. Letting them know that you are talking to other people with Kidney disease may encourage them to be more open with you and more diligent with finding your cause. In my opinion it is difficult to treat a problem without knowing the cause of the problem. Sometimes doctors will not go into details unless they are made aware that you want details and can handle the knowledge. Blessings.

Thank you for some really good pointers. I really have a lot to learn along the way and every little bit of advice is helpful in the long run. I'm making notes of the important things I want to bring out at my next visit, including that I'm talking to people who have been down the same road as I am now. I live in a very young and relaxed town where people are much more relaxed about just everything, including health care, which is why I'm seriously thinking about going to a major medical center in a town a bit of a distrance from here but it would worth the peace of mind for my health but of course, this can't be happening till things start to get back to some sort of normal. Take care and be safe!
