Hi trishanna.
I am 9 years post kidney/liver transplant. I was diagnosed with a kidney stone in my new kidney, after it showed up on a CT during an ET visit at my home hospital for an unrelated issue. And on further review of past CT's it was there for several years and had not been noted. So, my kidney team ordered a special urine sample that was tested to determine the composition of the stone. I don't remember the results. My only treatment was to drink more water daily (3L). Last April, the CT showed that the stone is gone. I got those results after I returned home, so I really don't know anything else about it. I still drink lots of water and plan to ask about it on my next annual evaluation.

Here is some information on Kidney stones

I hope you can learn more from your nephrologist. Keep in touch.

@rosemarya Appreciate your response. I do have trouble drinking a lot of water and am trying to improve. Reading all these wonderful replies from folks about diet has made me a bit uneasy, I admit!!
