It's recommended by most renal specialists for a stage 3 CKD patient to limit Na to no more than 3000 mg daily, K no more than 2000 mg, and P no more than 1000.

I want to tag @mlmcg to this conversation because she has a remarkable amount of dietary knowledge that she has accumulated from her own experience.
mlmcg, I want ti introduce you to kamama94. I know that you have experienced good results because of your strict adheren to your kidney healthy diet. Does any of this sound familiar to you?

@kamama94 My nephrologist tells me my remaining kidney is doing fine, although it is stage 3. Asked about dietary recommendations, but was told not to worry since I seem to be doing okay. However, I do have concerns with regard to my diet. Pardon my ignorance, but what is "Na," and are we talking about vitamin K and phosphorus?

Hi I also have stage 3..my her is 5.3...what does na stand for?

Such a big help!..I don't ko alot of na,k,p,stand for yet but IAM learning..thank you.

my salt tolerance is way lower than 3000...

Once more please: Na =, K =, and P =. Thank you so much. Nancy
