@gfisher100 Good morning. I have been using some version of topical ointment with CBD oil for several years. Some work better than others. The only type that is very messy is anything with coconut oil. I am experimenting right now with a 3:1 THC to CBD. It is working very well on hands, wrists, and arms. I also use it on my Myofascial knee problem. I was doubtful at first because of the high concentration of THC. My patient counselor said that it has been delivering good results. Any of the medical marijuana products work better than the lidocaine compounds, for me.
Hi @gfisher100 - I've been using CBD oil for about two months for sleep and its fabulous. No more Trazodone! I'm now in California for a couple of weeks and went to a dispensary and got an ointment with a 1:1 THC and CBD. It works temporarily on my back but doesn't last more than a couple of hours. Does your higher ratio work longer, and do you have any side effects from the hight THC? Thanks

@gfisher, @margottaylor , Great feedback and good for you for giving cannabis a try. I am now doing that same night dose.... a 2:1 CBD/THC tincture and then lights out. For me that not only keeps the pain in check, it also reduces anxiety and quiets my mind so I can have a refreshing sleep. Topicals are another matter......I have tried several different options and have settled on a 3:1 CBD/THC Papa & Barkley Releaf Balm especially when I have needles as well as tingling. They produce other dosages and this seems to work best for me whether during the day or at bedtime. Here is the link. https://papaandbarkley.com/product/releaf-balms . You can also see the location of all the P&B retail dispensaries on the website. As more research leads to more product options and/or my Small Fiber Neuropathy (SFN) decides to become progressively worse, I will give others a try. Have a lovely, pain-free day. Chris
Hi Airsmac, I just started looking into CBD tincture oil for treatment of my PN due to problems sleeping at night and itching/pins and needles when wearing shoes. I researched a bit and discussed with a friend I trust. They recommend a firm in Colorado which develops hemp based and not having THC >.03% they can ship with online order. I just started with them so no definitive results yet but it seems better. Company is among many but if you want to learn about them purehempbotanicals can be searched for and should give you basis of comparison. Very nice staff to online chat with to ask questions.

Thank you so much @deankmn very much appreciated. I am part of an official clinical trials set up by the TGA(FDA) in Aus but the cost of CBD Isolate is very high.

Chris, have tried to find dispensaries for Papa and Barkley but nothing comes up for midwest. Is there some way to manage the search to actually see locations within 500 miles of MPLS/St. Paul? Also, with THC higher I expect a doctor's prescription is necessary? Can you comment on this? Thanks

@deankmn, Hi there. I almost lost you. It is best to use the @ plus the recipients identifier so that your response goes directly to that person as well as the general feed. And now, I apologize for recommending a product without knowing your location. I also now live in MN. My daughter lives in a San Diego. That is how I do it. I think MN has topicals of some type available with a medical cannabis prescription. I will check on that for you. Have a pain free day. Be safe and protected. Chris

@deankmn, On the MN medical cannabis site, http://www.leaflines.com, you may get some answers to the topical dosages available and the qualifying conditions for the prescription. The interactive relationship between CBD and THC is explained quite well. So, it may be that what you are looking for is available in the MPLS and ST PAUL area. Check back in with us and share your findings. May your day have joy and happiness. Chris

@artscaping I have reviewed the Leaflines website and they do not have products that compare closely to those from Papa and Barkley. I am trying to be discerning in what is included in these formulations. With the unregulated industry as it is you really need to be careful. I am at beginning stages of investigating these substances so really want just a basic product package, not all the superfluous essential oils added. So I will keep looking. If I find something that does not agree with me and need something to mask the odor or flavor, I will consider it in future. But without the need it seems it is just opportunity to add more cost to the product, and none of these are inexpensive by any means. Thanks for sharing the information you have, it all helps in learning the ropes.

Dean @deankmn, in Minnesota you also have to be registered on the state's Medical Cannabis Program. Here's a link that gives the details: https://cannabis.web.health.state.mn.us/
The website link you gave is for an artist’s products, not CBD.
