Manessen1, What side effects did you have with Lyrica? I'm taking it and I haven't noticed any so far ... I want to pay attention. I read here that some people had side effects with gabapentin too. I didn't have any with that, I got to the maximum dose as condition got worse, then neurologist changed me to Lyrica. I didn't have any problem stopping gabapentin, no 'detox' or rebound. Peggy

I took it for several months.
Side effects were a dull headspace. Didn't feel like I had any clear thoughts. Pain was helped 15-20%.
Decided to live with the pain and have a clear head.
I understand Gabapentin is a very similar drug.
