@merpreb the only reason I saw my pulmonologist last week is because my GP sent me out of concern for contracting pneumonia 2x in 3 years. The pulmonologist said my latest scans are infection free, and he isn't concerned about the recent pneumonia-while I had it 2x in 3 years I have only had it 2x since diagnosed with COPD 13 years ago (in fact in my entire life).

@joelars- I'm not sure that I've had it, but one of my bronchitis events could have been. Pneumonia can scar lung tissues. It sounds as if you are taking care of yourself with your sleep apnea and everything else. Have you been checked for asthma? Which non-steroidal inhaler do you use? I guess that I don't have to worry about you taking good care of your self, you seem to be on top of it. But as your lungs become more scarred from COPD and emphysema please don't eliminate the thought of a new Pulmonologist or steroidal inhaler!
