Hi @katherine_gauthier,

Thank you so much for sharing your information; I'm so glad you've joined this group on Connect. I wish my 15-year old wrote with such insight!
I have to admit, that as well-meaning parents, we sometimes tend to brush aside teenage complaints as part of "being a teenager." I will also admit that when we, as adults and parents don't have a clear answer, we tend to ignore a problem in the hopes that it will go away.
I can imagine how frustrating all this must be, especially since any symptoms that involve the heart can be so scary.

I'd like to introduce you to a few Connect members – @mram79 @hazel516 @schmidtsl @heartnsoul36 @gibbs @rainman316 @mlzeid @jchp – as they've all written about chest pain, and I'm certain they will share their insights, and have some information that might help you.
I'm also tagging Mentors @predictable @hopeful33250, for their thoughts about your symptoms, and also for their wisdom in helping you with your parents.

@katherine_gauthier, there are a number of digestive health issues (hernias, GERD) that can present as chest pain and other heart related symptoms; is this something you might consider asking your doctor?

Thank you so much for responding! I have asked my doctor, and they don't seem to believe me either. I want to go to a cardiologist or someone more experienced in heart problems to see if they can find anything wrong.
