update: the cyst kept coming back with this treatment. I'm now using Ichthammol Ointment 20%, which works much better.

@wvfem Just saw this I have a cyst behind my knee A friend had same symptoms She used the black salve Ichthammol it does work my leg feels better

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I have a cyst on the same right middle finger. Can’t wait to get rid of it and the ugly ridge down the middle of my finger. Someone posted that DMSO gel also works to kill this type of cyst. I was going to ask my doctor to freeze mine but maybe I will skip that and try the Ichthammol ointment if I can find it.
