@sirgalahad - I'm terribly sorry to hear about your sister and her recent news about her cancer. Understandable that you feel like your brain has shut down with all that you are processing.
I can identify with seeing a relative not pursue the conventional medicine route you feel would be best for their health situation. My sister and I have experienced some challenges with my father pursuing natural remedies/herbalism in lieu of Western medicine for serious diagnoses. At one point he was told he had elevated PSA and needed a prostate biopsy. Instead, he chose to take a maple syrup remedy he read about on the Internet. Five years later, his doctor and wife "made" him go for a biopsy, and he did have prostate cancer. I think it's hard to see a family member go down a path for healing an illness you feel is not ideal and feel very little control.
