I take lyrica for my Neuropathy but my legs still hurt, my doctor tells me it is from the high sugar levels. I was just recently in the ER for sugar level of 427, so as you can see it it is not under control. Has anybody heard of a doctor called an Endocrinologist who spealizes in the treatment of Diabetes? Has anyone tried it and had any success

Hi @inspired123, I'm glad you are trying to learn as much as you can to treat your diabetes. I think it is the best way you can help yourself and become a better advocate for your health. This article explains some of the options better than I can.

Hoping other members with diabetes can share their thoughts and experiences with you.

Hi, @inspired123 - I'd also like for you to meet @retiredteacher, who has dealt with neuropathy and also would have some good suggestions of Mayo Clinic Connect discussions where you might talk with other members who can speak from their personal experiences about seeing an endocrinologist and whether seeing one has helped them.

Has the pregabalin (Lyrica) had any side effects thus far, inspired123?
