We are in Jax this week (and last) for my husband's transplant evaluation. We are staying at Extended Stay on Beach Blvd. We chose it because it had a kitchenette and we were having an "extended" stay. While it was VERY reasonable (less than $500 for one week), we will NOT be staying here when we return. Lots of construction workers, some people and their kids live here, the stove did not work, they only service your room one time a week and you get one roll of toilet paper. We have tolerated it because we didn't want to pack everything up to move. We will be back for two more visits this month and have made reservations at the Holiday Inn Express on Beach blvd Jax Beach (not actually on the beach). It is within 10 minutes to Mayo. We called and reserved at the Mayo patient rate of $115.00 per night. Can't speak to how good it is, but I know it will be a thousand times better than where we are now, lol. ("You get what you pay for "is the phrase that comes to my mind 🙂 )

My husband and I had a good experience at the Residence Inn near Mayo. If it had an actual range instead of just a little cook top, it would have been perfect for us (we'd hoped to be able to cook more of our meals rather than eating out).
