Happy Monday,

Hope you had a nice and pain=free weekend.

I don't know if you remember that a couple of weeks ago I fell twice. Once my hubby caught me and once I hit the ground.
When I hit the ground, my body twisted.
Now, since then, my headaches have returned and my entire neck hurts.
I am worried I might have done something to the replacement discs. (surgery 12 weeks ago)
I also had my shots last week. Some relief but my legs are so weak from not being able to do anything.
Tomorrow I go to my neurosurgeon for my last post-op for the replacement discs.
We will discuss if I did any damage from the fall, as well as if my cervical spine needs any more surgery or if we should begin working on my lumbar spine.

Also wanted to share that I watched a news report on TV last night about the use of medical marijuana.
Basically, researchers are definitely finding success for pain management and other diseases such as seizure conditions.
All of the people using this (except 1), use part of the plant which are turned into a liquid med.
There was one person, a former NFL football player, who does get high from it.
His body has been messed up from all the years of being knocked down and hit, etc.
He looks great on the outside, but his insides are a mess.
The marijuana is the only thing that keeps him relatively pain free and allows him to be a participant in his life.
There was a woman, a teacher, who was diagnosed with MS.
Her pain was intolerable and she did not know how she would continue to work.
It was interesting to hear how the chronic pain impacted her emotional health. It sounded just like me!!!! It sounded like many of you!!!
One of the big problems is that many states have approved marijuana for medical use, but the Federal Government has not!
Not only that, it is a schedule 1 drug which means the ability to do research is greatly hindered.
People are fighting to have the schedule change.
This is an ongoing issue.
The report is very interesting.

For a pain-free day.....

First of all let me say that I will soon be 82 years old. My complet spine is so messed up from the cervical to the lumbar. I have had two surgeries and a kypolasic. I had a pain stimulator implanted and so many injections that I have forgotten the number. After a fall in 2016 I have three compression fractures in the thoracic area and three in the lumbar area (which were missed by hospital and doctors.) I also have bulging discs and spers along with more degeneration than normal. My pain specialists said that I would never find a surgeon who would operate. There is so much that I can't do, like bending to get to my feet and reaching to do my hair. I will be asking about the CBD oil. I am not ready to take to my chair. I have things I still want to do and with God's help, I will keep going!

I have no idea that Texas of all places has such intolerance of marijuana. It helped me for a long time. Now I am not able to get any. I have heard thru fellowship with other users that they would not be socializing if they did not have their Marijuana. Doctors scripts are so expensive, unless you pay more ins and get your drug prices lowered. You pay one way or the other. I also have been told it is amazing help to cancer patients

@oregongirl are you on a HMO with your ins? I am and only pay less then 10.00 for my Tramadol
