Barrett’s esophagus
Looking for info and help with Barret’s esophagus. I can’t figure out just how serious this is. I have read way too much online! I don’t really know how strict my diet really has to be. It is really stressful-. Does anyone here have it? And exactly how serious is it?

No, Froedtert Health Care Milwaukee WI. One good thing is I'm close to Mayo in MN.
@riflemanz64 When making an appt at Mayo .. the American Cancer Society has a motel like Residence where you can stay while undergoing tests and treatments.. https://www.cancer.org/treatment/support-programs-and-services/patient-lodging/hope-lodge/rochester-mn.html
Thanks for the tip, I have my first appointment with the oncologist on Dec-9.
I’ll report back what he says I have and treatment recommend.
I just got back from my oncologist appointment. First let me say PRAISE THE LORD! I just went thru 13 stressful days thinking I might have stomach cancer. The nurse was wrong in telling me that. I have NO cancer! The oncologist said I have a better chance of getting prostate cancer than stomach cancer. He said I have a few abnormal cells at the Junction and not to worry at all. He wasn't happy that the nurse told me the wrong thing. He told me there is NO sign of Barrett's esophagus either. Praise the LORD for that great news. So the low acid diet does work wonders on the Barrett's. He told me to keep doing what I'm doing and I'll be fine. He said to get an EGD in 3-5yrs and that that was probably overkill. He said the worst things I can do are smoking and drinking alcohol which I don't do. It was a great relief for me today hearing this news. Thanks for the prayers!
Great news. Thank you
Oh wow! Yay @riflemanz64
Thank God. What a horrible doctor and nurse. Fire them for the misery they caused.
I'm changing GI Dr.s for my next procedure which will be a colonoscopy in 2021.
Good. Best not to have such an uncaring duo. Enjoy your health.
pdilly, did you ever get anymore Ablations done or did covid push it to the back burner?
Just wondering.
