When I was first diagnosed with Barrett's my Dr. Put me on a ppi protonix and said low acid diet from now on. Don't panic, just change your diet. I eat baked chicken, turkey, steamed fresh broccoli,Brussels sprouts, carrots, spinach, cauliflower, avoid all high fructose corn syrup, avoid fast food and fried foods. No pepper or hot sauces.I think I would look for a new GI Dr.
Let us know how you are after your appointment.

Thank you for always responding:) I am researching the diet.... does the sore throat and difficultly swallowing just mean it has gotten worse? Sorry I’m just finding a lot of conflicting info.
