4 weeks, how did you manage to cope with it for so long? I would have had them rip me open and get rid of that sucker pronto. My last stone was 10mm. My doctor said it could take a year to pass it. I told him to rip me open and he did. They discharged me too soon my doctor said and she called an ambulance and had me admitted.
I just got back from the Urologist and was put on Potassium citrate to prevent them from forming. My liver isn’t producing enough. He said no salt, less animal meat especially beef, no oxalates.
Anyone else taking Potassium Citrate?
He sure took the fun out of my day.

Does your doctor now feel you are stone-free (assuming you are based on an MRI, etc.) and that you do not need to adhere to any particular diet? It seems to me that once a stone-former, always a stone-former, or is that not true? My nephrologist feels there's no problem about diet because an MRI didn't show any. Since I've only one kidney, it could be a little late if one does form.
