I don't believe cholesterol is hereditary, that being said coq10 has been shown to keep your LDL levels in a good range.

My father too died of a myocardial infarction (heart) at 54! So, he must have had high cholesterol.
The fact that your father passed from a heart attack may have absolutely nothing to do with cholesterol , it can be many things but to say that is assuming without the facts.
I know what happened. I was there. You weren't. I know the facts of it well.
