Hello. I tried CBD oil for the first time tonight, containing no more than 0.3% THC. I took 25mg dose via tincture under my tongue about one hour before bed time. Four hours later and I am wide awake with anxiety and insomnia. The reason I took the CBD oil was to help me with my existing anxiety and insomnia problem. However, it seems to have the opposite effect on me.

Has anyone else had this problem with CBD causing anxiety or not working? I am not taking any prescription medications. I sometimes take 3mg of melatonin before bed, which I did not take tonight.

@a7777 Welcome to connect I also sometimes have insomnia but usually a cup of warm milk and a Melatonin about 1 hr before bed puts me to sleep . I tried CBD oil and it did nothing for me but give me This is just my experience with it

@a7777- Welcome to connect. I'm sorry that the CBD with THC isn't working for you. THC is a known cause for increasing the effects of anxiety. Try taking CBD oil without the THC. Each dropper of CBD oil (tincture) should be 10 mgs of cbd. Are you taking other medications for anxiety, or therapy?

I take CBD Alive brand 20/1 CBD/THC for anxiety but only two drops a day. Not sure how many mg/drop. Wish dosages were more standardized. The effect is subtle but effective in the morning.

I also took CBD and found it made my insomnia worse!
