How much CBD oil do you take daily, please (realizing everyone is different body chemistry)? Isn't it very expensive? Thanks!

Hi I bought Green Garden Gold 1000mg hemp extract and I take about 5-7 drops and unfortunately I have not seen any difference. I paid around $90 for this and I think that is quite expensive especially since I haven't seen any changes with it.

@stressedmesseddepressed I haven’t received it yet so haven’t started taking it. I bought a bottle of 100mg for $25. Thought I’d start low with a drop or two per day.

@doxyjune Oh no. I know it doesn’t help everyone but I want to try it before giving in to going back on anti-depressants.

This is Gail, and I'm a Volunteer Mentor with Mayo Connect. I had been commenting on and experimenting with the dosages for both CBD and Marijuana prior to going on a 3 week vacation. Now that I'm back, I want to report some of what I have learned.

I read that "hemp" extract and marijuana/cannabis extract are not the same. Hemp is grown for industrial use and isn't the marijuana or cannabis that's used for medication. Some companies are using the cheap hemp and are misleading consumers. I suggest you try a CBD product from one of the companies mentioned on this thread as having useful products. I got my CBD DAILY from
mjstherapeutics. org I have no affiliation with this company.

Since each person has different tolerance levels, I recommend starting CBD with 1 pump, or about 2 mg. at first. Then up it 1 mg. at a time until you can feel relief from your anxiety. Also, when taking CBD orally, it may take up to 2 hours to feel the full effects of relief. I found that after I increased my dose from 3 pumps per dose to 8 pumps, and left it under my tongue for about a minute, I had great relief of my anxiety/pain and began to feel better in about 1 hour. The CBD tincture (oil) I have is 5:55, THC:CBD, so it has almost no THC at all. I found that at the effective dose, the CBD also helped my osteoarthritis pain, without making me high. It was a huge help when I was withdrawing from Tramadol 50 mg. and relieved my anxiety from that.

I also tried the Marijuana tincture (oil) and found that .25 mL. from the dropper under my tongue and held for 30 seconds is quite enough to make me a little high. I tried about .35-.40 mL. and that was too much as I felt "stoned" (too high for me) at that dose. Again, it takes up to 2 hours for the full effects to register. For me it only took about 45 minutes. The Marijuana tincture I have is a 3:1 THC:CBD blend, so it is high in THC, the part of the cannabis plant that makes you high. This was recommended to my husband when he bought some for my pain. It does relieve my pain, but I really don't like being high and trying to function in daily life. I don't like being high at any time actually.

I hope this is helpful for you and others who have questions about different types of Marijuana /CBD and how they affected me. Again, be sure that what you buy is a "cannabis" derivative, not hemp.

I started to read this post again. I took the cbd oil 0.3% thc for 1 month. It helper me relax and sleep. It's finished and I live in Ecuador and want to try what I can find here. The lowest thc is 3% thc cbd oil here. I am wondering if I can get high on it just with 1 or 2 drops. I want to take it for depression and sleep.

I'm other sure about the 3% information. I recommend that you get a dropper that is marked with. 25, .50, .75, and 1.0 ml doses. Then start with .25 mL only, hold under your tongue for 15 seconds. It may take 2 hours before you feel any effects. Then based on how you feel, take more or less until you have the relaxation you are seeking. There isn't much information out there about dosages, so you just have to experiment until you find what works for you. Start small so you don't get overwhelmed. You can't really overdose, but I have felt anxiety when I got too high once–that wasn't pleasant. Best of luck with this. Please follow up and let us know how it's working for you. Also, keep in mind that I'm not a medical professional, so I'm offering you my experience only.

Thanks for your answer. I am afraid because the over the counter cbd oil in USA is with just 0,3% thc. It's the only one I have tried aND lover it. 3% thc is already medical marihuana and is used more for cancer patients at my country Ecuador. I am scared because of its psychoactive properties

I use the 3% medical Marijuana that I recommended you take .25 ml dropper of. Try that dose. If you feel too much of a high, then take less. That amount works for me with very little psychoactive result. Don't be afraid of it, you can't overdose and it won't hurt you. Just try it when you are at home and are in a place where you feel safe.

Thanks so much Gail. I'll follow your recommendations. I was afraid of the psycoactive effects of the thc. I wI'll post results.
