Depression, anxiety and anger

I'm a depressed introvert, too. My wife and I live in the country on ten acres, so home is a peaceful place, except that my wife likes to have the TV on nearly all day. I go sit in the bedroom to get away from the noise.

I've always been a calm person, and I don't experience anger often. Irritated, but not angry. But I can surely connect with the need to get away from the noise to calm my emotions. It's easy to get over stimulated, for sure.

I think I have sensitive hearing. It is especially noticeable if I'm stressed or if I need to focus on a task. I have to use ear plugs when the loud sounds begin to annoy me too much. But, I have not found any way to muffle the blasting bass that vibrates at nearly glass shattering level when cars go up and down the neighboring street. I also despise movie theaters because of the volumes.
I enjoy quiet and peaceful environments.
