My story is fortunately unremarkable since my AA accidental discovery nearly twenty years ago. My experience is routine scans. Consequently my intent is to read and learn..
John

I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about this condition through others. I’m 80 years old and my condition has been monitored for at least the last ten years and stayed relatively low and stable until my last two scans. They measured 4.4 then 5.1 six months later.
Because of this, I saw a vascular surgeon recently and had a ct scan to learn why the change from one scan to the next. The results explained the two different readings. My aneurism measures 4.4 to 5.1 depending upon where the scan crosses the aorta.
Now under the care of the surgeon with the next mri in December.
Hope to avoid the need for surgery.

Hi everyone. I’m so happy to have found this place to share my concerns and victories. I was just diagnosed with a 95% right arteries blockage and was sent to a cardiac ct to confirm whether my enlarged aorta required open heart surgery to correct an aneurysm. As it turned out It was .5 cm shy of the necessity for surgery. Instead they are planning to do a stent tomorrow and then monitor me every 6 months. I am grateful that I didn’t need open heart surgery but I must say that I feel like a walking time bomb because of this aneurysm. I’m sure I’m not the only who feels like this. Thank you for listening.

I had an evar procedue for my swotting 5 years ago. Doc says sac in increasing in size
