Hi @lorraine3 I took Cymbalta for quite some time but didn't like the weight gain. When I was also put on Methadone the 2 drugs didn't do well together. So I quit the Cymbalta as I needed the Methadone for pain. All I know now is I'm really messed up and I'm pretty much at the bottom with depression and anxiety. 3 weeks ago I went on Wellbutrin. Felt great for 3-4 days. Since then I feel much worse, have stomach cramps, diarrhea and zero appetite. I don't know if this is normal or not. I'm seeing my dr on Thursday. I'd like to hear from others to see if it works for them. Finding the right medication seems to be a tough battle. Good luck with your search. Yes Methadone is great with chronic pain that can't be controlled with regular pain meds. Since my earlier post I had a seizure. I was also hearing things that were not going on. I was even trying to call my mom for help but had no phone, I was literally air dialing. Quite a scary experience. Can't wait to see my dr on Thursday.

i must live in a vacuum as I have not ever heard of Methadone to help with pain. Cymbalta worked negatively for me. Even had a doctor get angry because he said if it did not help there was nothing wrong-this went in my chart so now I am seen as drug seeking. Wellbutrin was dreadful. Doctors have difficulty realizing one size does not fit all. Not their fault they cannot think outside of the box. Try not to give up. If you are in search of a "feel good" pill they do not last or the effect is short term.
