Having just moved to a new town, it is taking a while to find a group here. Yes, doing it alone is the alternative, and I do that, but as someone mentioned, the group energy is amazing. It has long been a habit of mine to do forms outside in all kinds of weather, wherever we travel. Favorite places are out in the desert near Phoenix, Yosemite Natal Park, and outside deck at Monterey [CA] Bay Aquarium.

@gingerw Those are beautiful spots to do that in. Being close to nature always helps; whether doing tai chi or not. We meet on a large dock on a large pond at a park on Hilton Head Island. I once counted six alligators. We also see many turtles, herons, loons, etc. The plethora of wildlife is very calming to the soul. Not to mention the beauty of seeing the trees and clouds reflecting on the water....

@gingerw Those sound like beautiful environments to do Tai Chi. I agree with the group dynamics. Videos are good when I can't get out but there is something about exercising with others and fills the requirements of the social and physical needs we all have.
