My sister had Gamma Knife at Mayo for 3 meningiomas recently. She was ok after a few days. She had some numbness at site where head frame was attached to her skull and some soreness, which went away I about a week's time. She will not know until her next MRI in Feb if her tumors have shrunk. Don't worry. I am wishing you good luck and a successful outcome. Where are you having the procedure? My sister also had surgery 15 years ago to remove a frontal lobe meningiomas. Stay strong!!Nancy
My first treatment was hard, when they put my mask on my face. I freaked out. I had to take a 2nd Xanax to calm me down. I prayed and asked God to help me threw this and then everything went great. The amazing thing is that my second treatment on 12/22/17 I didn't take any Xanax and I did great. Prayer is a wonderful thing.
No I didn't, I had a lot of pins and needles and pain on the right side of my face from my brain tumor location. My doctor told me that I could have head aches from the SRS treatments, because it would cause swelling.

Hi @mrser52, I'm thinking of you. I hope the stereotactic radiosurgery went well.

Wow, that is quite the accomplishment, Mrser52. You may be interested in this blog post by @meganroessler on the Cancer Education Center page:

For you mindfulness is prayer. Powerful!
How many more treatments do you have?
3 more, my last treatment is on 12/28/2017
Congratulations on getting through the procedure so well, @mrser52. Best wishes as you finish up on the 28th.
Will you keep us posted on how you are feeling?
Teresa
I am feeling GREAT. I am in no pain and I have no headaches.
That is great news, @mrser52 !
(It is always good to hear from someone else who is in Michigan.) Were you having a lot of headaches before the treatment began?
